Coinciding with the Muslim festival of Milad-Un-Nabi today, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma is heard to have ordered the theatre owners in Hyderabad not to screen 'Vishwaroopam' today. This is a huge setback to 'Vishwaroopam' which is making many of the audience in Telugu awaited. In fact, the movie is banned temporarily in Tamil Nadu due to severe objections raised by Muslim organizations. Now, Telugu version also falling in trouble means a lot of pain for Kamal and Dasari, who is distributing the movie in Andhra Pradesh.
However, there is no clarity on whether the release of Telugu is halted for only one day or will it continue even tomorrow due to Republic Day. Let us wait for a clear update.
