Starting the career as a simple anchor on Aditya TV, he grew up step by step to become a Cinema Director today handling Rs.15 to 18 Crores of budget is by no means a small achievement. With Chinni Krishna's story and Paruchuri Brothers inking the dialogues, Omkar has got a best platform to excel as a Director with yesterday released 'Genius.'
However, the post-mortem of critics was so harsh at Omkar and 'Genius' is torn apart by the media men. Inspite of a message oriented story, there was a lapse in execution part and one should agree on it. A safe budget of less than Rs.5 Crores would have been a best bet on 'Genius.' Hurried to show his skills as a Mass Masala Director who can well handle the Powerful Scripts, Omkar fell short of expectations. Apparently, 'Genius' may not be a complete disappointment but by Omkar standards he is worth to be appreciated.
