Chiranjeevi is not Supreme Leader

Chiranjeevi's raise to stardom in Cinema is an inspiration for many young talents entering into films. However, he may not remain the same inspiration when it comes to politics. His beginning of Praja Rajyam Party and then failure in elections to merge the same in Congress aren't digestible even for a section of his enlightened hardcore Fans.

Dr. Mitra, grandson of Puchchalapalli Sundaraiah was one of the founder members of PRP. Inspired by the image of Chiranjeevi and friendship with Allu Aravind, he took the burden of building a strong political party in PRP to change the face of Andhra Pradesh. But, he was middle dropped and Mitra explained in a chat show on what was Chiru actually in the party.

'True that, Party has collected funds which were disbursed to constituencies for selecting the cadres and running of Party. But, I don't believe in PRP selling Assembly and Parliamentary tickets. We have rejected the cheques from big industrialists who were willing to offer donations.

Leaders are not born and they cannot be individual too. Situations demand them to become Leaders. We have faced several hardships in our travel with PRP. Chiranjeevi's inexperience in politics was the biggest problem. When NTR started TDP, he was Supreme. But, same is not the case with Chiranjeevi. He was influenced by many forces,' Mitra explained.
