Winning Nandi Award for Best Female Actor is not an easy job for commercially stamped, glamour oriented heroine Nayanathara. Not an exaggeration, it is true that performance of Nayan in ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ has even overshadowed the magnanimous screen presence of Balakrishna as Lord Sri Rama. Yes, the beautiful actress is still down to earth giving the credits only to Balayya, Bapu and Sai Babu.
‘I am ready to play Sita again any number of times. I am confident enough to connect to Indian mythology. If any offers come in my way, I will be accepting any kind of mythological character. Being a part of glamour industry from nine years, I learnt many things. Commercial films will help an actor turn into a star but choosing a commercial character with scope to perform is tough. I made my mind only to do only meaningful roles even they are of a very short duration. Of course, I am always open for female oriented or an author backed film,’ said Nayan while sharing her joy of winning Nandi.
