An excellent feel good film with sensitive emotions portrayed in a best possible format is Sreedevi’s ‘English Vinglish.’ While the movie was released with very less hype and with no big stars to recognize in the film (except old lady Sreedevi), as expected earlier it is opened very weakly. By the time of weekend when mouth talk has spread like a wildfire to every nuke and corner on how brilliantly Sreedevi has made a comeback, everywhere there were housefuls and movie too picked up at BO.
Unfortunately, the biggest problem with ‘English Vinglish’ atleast in Hyderabad and Nizam area is its positioning. Except multiplexes, only six individual side theatres were allocated for this flick (Telugu and Hindi versions jointly). Definitely distributors have underestimated the capacity of Sreedevi which is troubling many of the movie lovers. Family audiences who wanted to enjoy the movie are finding it difficult to trace a theatre? Hope that situation will get a little better from this Friday.
