Amala, being the wife of star hero Nagarjuna should obviously take up only those kinds of characters in films which have strength. Making a come back after 20 years, everyone was surprised as what kind of a character did Sekhar Kammaula has actually offered to Amala in his new flick ‘Life is Beautiful.’ After dilly-dallying for nearly two months, finally Amala gave her seven days of call sheets only because of Sekhar.
In the film, Amala is playing a working class widow and a mother of three children. Like Sekhar, heroine Amala too pleads for individuality and strong attitude for women. ‘Our society has been inhuman towards widows. There were times when widows were thrown out of homes. To rescue such kind of targeted of women, ‘Bala Vikas Sanstha’ is offering a helping hand. I was associated with this organization from a long time. When my character in ‘LIB’ was found to be inspirational for suffering women, I took it up,’ Amala said.
