Ravi Babu is one of the most intelligent and brave directors of Tollywood. Although he inspires a lot from Hollywood movies, his upcoming film ‘Avunu’ is based on the true life story of popular heroine Yami Gautam who worked with him for ‘Nuvvila.’
Yami narrated an incident to Ravi Babu during their working for ‘Nuvvila.’ Even she did not realize then that her narrating the incident to Ravi Babu during a shooting break would later become a suspense thriller ‘Avunu.’ Later on after the completion of Yami’s narration, Ravi Babu was staying at Sitara Hotel in Ramoji Fim City for the filming of ‘Nuvvila.’ Before that day, Ravi had no problems staying in the hotel for about fifty days and nights.
On the same night when Yami completed the narration, Ravi Babu was so scared and could not stay alone. Missing the sleep in mid-night, he kept the tube lights, TV and bathroom doors open to get rid of that fear. Unable to bear the first time fear in his life of being alone, Ravi immediately packed the bags and drove home in mid of the night. From that day till now, he never slept alone.
As Ravi Babu wanted to share this fear listening to Yami Gautam’s story, he then decided to make the film ‘Avunu’ slated for release in September.
