Why, there is no Kannada 'Eega'?

Not to forget, how hard it is for a director to plan and release a movie in four languages. Rajamouli is doing this rare feat with ‘Eega’ which is considered to be a visual extravaganza with scintillating computer graphics. While the flick is slated for a release on July 6th in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi simultaneously, some of the audiences are questioning on why there is no Kannada version of ‘Eega,’ in spite of Kannada Star hero Sudeep playing the antagonist?

Basically, Karnataka Government does not allow the release of dubbing movies. There is no such big difference between Telugu and Kannada when it comes to movies. Most of the Telugu big ticket flicks are releasing in Karnataka with basic Telugu version and are churning BO to collect Crores of revenues. Recent ones like ‘Rachcha, Dammu and Gabbar Singh’ performed extremely superb at Sandalwood BO on par with Tollywood BO. So, irrespective of the Telugu release, ‘Eega’ can put up a promising show due to Sudeep factor.
