Our Regional Censor Board Chief Dhanalakshmi has become a thorn in flesh for film makers. Her biased behavior added with lack of Telugu knowledge, unsolicited cuts and huge discrimination towards dubbing films arriving in Telugu as direct releases is just annoying entire producer community in Tollywood. As per the complaints raised by producers to CBFC CEO Pankaj Thakur and Union I & B Minister Ambika Soni, an action seems to be imminent.
Congress leader Rayapati Sambasiva Rao is heard to have met Ambika Soni on the matter. Immediately Thakur was made to fly Hyderabad and a meeting was organized by Film Chamber with nearly 80 producers sharing their views with Thakur. Majority of the complainants has sought for removal of Dhanalakshmi. Currently she is in Delhi, undergoing some training program and will be back on 15th. As the issue has gone up to the level of Central Government, situation looks quite serious and on-lookers feel these are last days for Dhanalakshmi in AP.
