The Sankranthi race was supposed to be a big affair with almost a dozen films slated for release. Now most of the films have withdrawn from the Sankranthi race and just two big films are in contention now. Mahesh Babu’s The Businessman and victory Venkatesh’s The Bodyguard.
It is not fair to compare the two films as the actors as well as the films are poles apart. Mahesh is on a high with the success of Dookudu. Venkatesh did not have a good time as his last film Namo Venkatesa did not do well as expected. However Venky’s fans are very upbeat about the success of the new film. The hit pair of Venky-Trisha is a big plus for the film. The Malayalam and Hindi versions have done very well. So the same is expected in Telugu too.
