Famous and veteran story and dialogue writer, best known for his pairing with Bapu is Mullapudi Venkata Ramana passed away in Chennai today early morning due to heart attack. He belonged to Dhavaleshwaram and is best associated with Bapu in making of historical films that will live for ever as long as Telugu cinema exists. He was born in 1931.
The child character of Budugu or the characters of Radha, Gopalam, Contractor (in Muthyala Muggu), Tutti (in Mr. Pellam) are the creations to modern Telugu literature from this master. ‘Kothi Kommachi’ is his autobiography and he is awarded with prestigious Raja-Lakshmi Literary award in 1995.
Ramana was these days working for ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ of Balakrishna along with Bapu. Cinejosh prays for this great soul to rest in peace.
