A petition was filed by Nityananda urging the court not to permit the ‘Ayyare’ filmmakers to screen the movie as they intended to project him in a negative way. It is worth mentioning here that Nityananda was arrested by the Karnataka police after his alleged sexual escapades with film actress Ranjita which were telecasted by the electronic media.
‘Ayyare’ is known to be the film based on the sex Swami’s life and Rajendra Prasad is playing the role of Nityananda. Swami pleaded that if film will be released that would cause great damage to his reputation for portraying him in a poor light. Costumes donned by Rajendra Prasad in the movie were strikingly similar to Nityananda.
Our High Court on Friday issued notices to Union I&B ministry and Film Censor Board to reply within four weeks to the contentions raised by Swami Nityananda against ‘Ayyare.’
