Swine flu claims 3 more lives, toll reaches 7!

Hyderabad, Sept 12:

Three people died of deadly swine flu alone on Saturday in various parts of city taking the toll due to influenza A (H1N1) in Andhra Pradesh to seven.

Unofficial sources said that three persons died but official sources said only one person died due to swine flu.

Sunil (26), who was admitted to global hospital in LB Nagar succumbed to illness on Saturday. Sunil, hailed from Yadireddy mandal in Mahaboobnagar district, came from London recently to his native place. Sunil was brought to global hospital after he did not get any relief from fever. Rajababu, a resident of Ramnagar, died while undergoing treatment for disease at the Gandhi hospital on Friday night.

Shekhar, a resident of Banjara hills, died while undergoing treatment for the disease in a private hospital. The officials confirmed the death of Rajababu due to influenza A. But the officials are yet to confirm the deaths of remaining two people.

According to the health officer Dr Jayakumari, the government has planned to establish two more screening centres one at Golconda and another at Nampally to control swine flu in the city. She said that seven people affected due to swine flu were undergoing treatment in various hospitals in the city.
