Sampath Nandi on his project with Pawan Kalyan. Sampath Nandi attained immense stardom when he directed Ram Charan in his second film and scored a resounding hit with Rachha. This brought him the golden opportunity to direct none other than Power Star Pawan Kalyan.
However after working two years on the project, it didnot materialise and then he went on to do Bengal Tiger with Ravi Teja. Many always attack Pawan Kalyan saying Sampath Nandi lost two years unnecessarily due to Pawan's indecisiveness. Reacting to it, Sampath Nandi came up with the following clarification.
He said “I went to do a project with Pawan Kalyan. I told him the Bengal Tiger story but that version is completely different from what I did with Ravi Teja. He also liked the story and the dialogues. However he said that we would do another story. He told a story and asked me to work on it. I worked for one and half years on the story but both our ideas did not converge. We felt we are going in different directions and so I came out of the project"
He continued “No one is at fault. If one doesn't like the story, we should come with the new story and impress them. Pawan Kalyan also ensured that I get well paid for the work I did for one and half years. I still have good relations with Pawan Kalyan. He also sent me a message through another producer and told me that we would do a project. But he is not free now. If possible I will do a film with him. "
He added “We shouldn't comment on Pawan Kalyan's generosity. We know that how kind Pawan Kalyan is and I know more than anyone else"
