The upcoming film Odela 2, directed by Ashok Teja, has generated buzz with its trailer showcasing Tamannaah Bhatia's impressive portrayal of a Naga Sadhu. According to the film's creator, Sampath Nandi, Tamannaah went to great lengths to get into character, walking barefoot and adopting a completely vegetarian diet during the shoot.
Sampath Nandi shared that the team faced challenges in achieving the desired look for Tamannaah's character, experimenting with various makeup options before deciding to embrace her natural skin tone. Designer Neeta Lulla worked on creating costumes that fit the character's aesthetic, and the final look was achieved after considerable effort.
Sampath Nandi is all praises for Tamannaah for her ability to perform the character effortlessly, attributing it to her being on a transitional journey. This shows her conviction in playing a challenging role of Naga Sadhu in the film. Though many draw parallels between Odela 2 with Arundhati after its trailer. Sampath Nandi clarified that both are different themes.
With its devotional thriller genre, Odela 2 is generating expectations, especially given the success of the first installment, Odela Railway Station. Produced by D Madhu, the film features music by Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematography by Soundar Rajan, and art direction by Rajeev Nair. Odela 2 is set to hit screens on April 17.
