Kesari 2 trailer released. Akshay Kumar is known for his patriotic entertainers and he is now coming up with his film Kesari 2. The film directed by Karan Singh Tyagi is releasing on 18 April 2025.
Already the film's promotions and teaser got good response and today they released the film's trailer. Kesari 2 is all about the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, in April 1919 and is inspired by the book 'The Case That Shook The Empire' by Pushpa Palat and Raghu Palat .
The trailer shows Akshay Kumar as C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and former President of the Indian National Congress who fights against the British in the court over the massacre. He is seen as taking on and confronting Colonel Reginald Dyer, the British officer responsible for the massacre that claimed hundreds of lives in 1919.
The trailer introduces Ananya Panday as Dilreet Gill, a female barrister who joins Nair in his quest for truth, while R Madhavan appears as Neville McKinley, a formidable mind whose is addressed as 'a genius' in the trailer.
