The makers shot important scenes in the exotic locations of Odisha. Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran and female lead Priyanka Chopra participated in the shooting schedules.

She posted "Before, Pushpa-2 in Malkangiri, and now, renowned director SS Rajamouli's upcoming film SSMB29, starring South superstars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, along with internationally acclaimed actress Priyanka Chopra, is being shot in Koraput, proving that Odisha has a wealth of cinematic landscapes for film shooting. In the meantime, SSMB29's music is tuned by Keeravani and the story is penned by Vijayendra Prasad. The film is releasing in two parts, first in 2027 and second in 2029.
