On May 4, 2024, Justice Ravindran ordered Eesan Productions to transfer all rights to "Jagajaala Killadi" to the lender's managing director. This petition sought the seizure and public auction of a portion of Sivaji Ganesan's house, based on an agreement signed by Dusshyanth's father, Ramkumar.
The petition stated that the outstanding debt, including accrued interest, now amounted to approximately Rs 9.39 crore.Judge Abdul Quddhose, presiding over the case, granted the seizure order, citing Eesan Productions' failure to file a counter-petition despite having been granted time to do so. He also directed the relevant sub-registrar to be notified of the order. The case has been adjourned until March 5. The seizure highlights the legal ramifications of the financial difficulties faced by Eesan Productions and the lengths to which the lender is willing to go to recover the significant outstanding debt.
