Bollywood filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari is coming up with a prestigious project Ramayana. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the roles of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. According to the sources, it is coming out that the Rocky Bhai Yash who is playing the role of Ravan landed in Mumbai.
He started shooting for his role in the film. After two days of costume trials, Yash started shooting for his role. The shooting is currently underway near Aksa beach, Mumbai where the makers are shooting high octane action sequences pertaining to war. After this shooting will shift to a studio at Dahisar.
Ranbir Kapoor will not be featuring in this schedule. A source shared "The war portions are being mounted on a grand scale, with the action choreography designed to reflect Ravana's strategic prowess. It will be a combination of green-screen shots and those shot on the ground and involve heavy VFX work. This set piece doesn't require Ranbir's presence as it's not the Ram-Ravana face-off.Other key actors have joined Yash for this leg."
The film's first part will be releasing on Diwali 2026 and the second part will be releasing on Diwali 2027.
