Manchu Manoj, Rocking Star of Tollywood graced the Chandragiri Jallikattu event as the chief guest and flagged off the event. He was accorded a grand welcome by the TDP activists, Jana Sena and NTR fans.
Speaking at the event, Manchu Manoj said “This festival has been celebrated since the British era and has been a proud tradition in Chandragiri for the past 20 years. Unlike the Jallikattu in Tamil Nadu, which is more intense, the celebrations here focus on devotion and respect for cattle. It is a festival that transcends caste and political affiliations, bringing people together in unity.”
The event took a violent and bloody turn when youngsters competed to reign in the raging bulls and win the coveted prize. More than 40 people were injured in the event. They were given first aid at the event itself and those who are seriously injured were shifted to the Riya Hospital, Tirupati.
