Varun Dhawan action drama Baby John is now available on Prime Video but with a catch its available for rent at ₹249. The film which struggled at the box office is a remake of the 2016 Tamil blockbuster Theri. Directed by Kalees Baby John stars Varun Dhawan Wamiqa Gabbi Zara Zyanna Keerthy Suresh and Jackie Shroff. The film plot revolves around a sex trafficking group that interrupts the tranquil life of John and Khushi leading to a journey of vengeance and protection.
Baby John theatrical release on Christmas Eve 2024 received mixed reviews from critics and a disappointing performance at the box office. The film worldwide gross was ₹53.4 crore with ₹39.74 crore coming from India and ₹13.66 crore worldwide. Despite its poor box office performance the film is now available on OTT with a full fledged release expected on Prime Video by February 20 21 2025. Varun Dhawan had earlier spoken about the film modern perspective on parenting and real life occurrences concerning women safety in India.
