DR Pleaded Not To Drag Him into Politics

Dil Raju, a renowned film producer, recently found himself at the center of controversy due to his comments at the trailer launch event of his next film Sankranthiki Vasthunnam in Nizamabad. He stated that Andhra people have a vibe for movies, whereas in Telangana, they have a vibe for kallu and mutton.

However, some politicians misinterpreted his comments, leading to criticism. In response, Dil Raju released a video apologizing for any hurt caused by his words and clarifying that he was expressing his love for Telangana's culture. Dil Raju emphasized that he is a native of Telangana and has always admired the state's cultural heritage. He cited his films Fidaa and Balagam, which showcased Telangana's culture to the world, as examples of his appreciation.

Dil Raju also appealed to all political parties in Telangana not to drag him into politics, stating that the Film Development Corporation (FDC) is not a platform for politics, but rather a bridge between the film industry and the government. As the chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation, Dil Raju is committed to making the FDC useful only for films.
