But the deadlock remained the same in Telangana as CM Revanth Reddy promised to be tough after the stampede at the Sandhya theatre during Pushpa The Rule screening premiers. He also announced in the assembly that there will not be any benefit shows and hike in ticket rates.

In the midst of all this, the makers of Game Changer got a huge boost when Telangana government passed a GO couple of minutes back allowing hike in ticket rates. It also allowed additional screenings for the film but rejected the request for 1 AM shows.

According to the GO, six shows can be screened on Friday (January 10), including an extra show at 4 am, with an additional amount of Rs 150 at multiplex theatres and additional Rs 100 at single-screen theatres.

From January 11-19, five shows can be screened with an additional Rs 100 on the ticket price for multiplex theatres and additional Rs 50 for single-screen theatres. The hiked charges will be inclusive of GST, the order stated.
