Recent Indian films have pushed boundaries with graphic violence, shocking audiences. Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, Yash's KGF 2, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, and Lakshya's Kill have been criticized for excessive gore and bloodshed. However, Malayalam action-thriller Marco has surpassed them, earning the title of India's "Most Violent" film.

Directed by Aneef Adeni, Marco stars Unni Mukundan in a revenge saga alongside Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu S Thilakan, and Kabir Duhan Singh. Viewers have reported extreme graphic violence, including scenes involving children, unprecedented in Indian cinema. Despite controversy, Marco has achieved commercial success.

Released on December 20, Marco grossed ₹25 crore (nett) in India within six days, approaching ₹50 crore worldwide. Made on a ₹30 crore budget, it has become the highest-grossing adult-rated Malayalam film. Marco's Telugu release is scheduled for January 1.
