Rahman also receives a nomination in the 'Song-Feature Film' category for the soul-stirring track "Periyone," performed by Jithin Raj and written by Rahman and Rafiq Ahamed.
This recognition shines a spotlight on "The Goat Life," which tells the captivating true story of Najeeb, a young man who left Kerala in the early '90s to seek fortune abroad. The film, directed by Blessy and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Amala Paul, K.R. Gokul, and international actors Jimmy Jean-Louis, Talib al Balushi, and Rik Aby, was released in March this year.
