Vishnu Manchu, along with his team, has embarked on a spiritual journey to Kedarnath and Badrinath, seeking blessings for his upcoming film "Kannappa." The film, based on the story of a devoted Shiva follower named Kannappa, is expected to be a grand spectacle.
Manchu shared a video of his pilgrimage on social media, stating that he began his journey of visiting the 12 Jyotirlingas with Kedarnath. "Started the journey of the 12 Jyotirlingas. First one to visit is the holy #Kedarnath. Prayed for #Kannappa and the journey it's going to take," he wrote.
The pilgrimage included director Mukesh Kumar Singh, producer Mohan Babu, and actor Arpit Ranka. "Seeking blessings for an epic tale! @vishnumanchu and team Kannappa's sacred journey to #Kedarnath and #Badrinath. #HarHarMahadev," read a post on the film's official Instagram page.
The pilgrimage to Kedarnath and Badrinath holds immense significance in Hinduism, as these temples are part of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Both destinations attract millions of pilgrims annually, seeking spiritual enlightenment and moksha.
The teaser of "Kannappa", released in June 2024, showcased Vishnu Manchu's powerful performance and stunning visuals, leaving fans eager for the film's release. While the team initially aimed for a December 2024 release, a confirmed date has yet to be announced.
The film boasts an ensemble cast, featuring cameos by Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal, and Akshay Kumar, alongside Vishnu Manchu in the titular role.
