Tollywood Veteran Producer Arrested

Burugupally Siva Rama Krishna, a prominent Tollywood producer known for his work on blockbuster films like "Yuvaraju" and "Thammudu," has been arrested by Osmania University Police on October 22nd for his alleged involvement in a land encroachment scheme.

Siva Rama Krishna, who was active in the film industry during the late 1990s and early 2000s, stands accused of illegally claiming ownership of 80 acres of land in Hyderabad using forged documents. The investigation revealed that he allegedly obtained original documents from the archaeology department with the assistance of senior assistant Koththi Chandrasekhar. Builder Margoni Lingam is also implicated in the case, having allegedly helped Siva Rama Krishna establish his fraudulent claim.

The Andhra Pradesh Government initiated legal proceedings against Siva Rama Krishna in 2003, challenging his ownership claim in court. The case was ultimately heard by the Supreme Court, which ultimately ruled against the producer, finding him guilty of producing fake documents.
