Rajinikanth Vettaiyan Fails To Recover Costs

Rajini to compensate Vettaiyan losses

Rajinikanth's latest action-drama film, Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel, has underperformed at the box office despite crossing the Rs 200 crore mark. Made on a budget of Rs 300 crore, the film's poor performance has resulted in significant losses for Lyca Productions.

According to trade experts, Lyca Productions has expressed disappointment to Rajinikanth, who has reportedly agreed to take a pay cut to support the producer and distributors. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Lyca Productions has requested Rajinikanth to collaborate on another project to recover losses.

Rajinikanth is considering compensating the makers by agreeing to their request. Following the disappointment of his previous film, Lal Salaam, the superstar's next project with Lyca Productions is eagerly anticipated. Rumors suggest that renowned directors like Venkat Prabhu, who recently collaborated with Thalapathy Vijay on The Greatest Of All Time, are being considered to helm the project.
