Remo DSouza Finds Himself In A Cheating Case

Another Cheating Choreographer

After Jaani Master, Remo D'Souza, a well-known choreographer, and his wife Lizelle are facing legal trouble after a case was registered against them in Maharashtra's Thane district for allegedly cheating a dance troupe of Rs 11.96 crore. The complaint, filed by a 26-year-old dancer, accuses Remo, Lizelle, and five others of forgery and cheating under sections 465 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code. 

According to the FIR, the dance troupe was cheated between 2018 and July 2024, with the accused falsely claiming ownership of the group and pocketing the prize money of Rs 11.96 crore after they won a television show. The accused individuals include Omprakash Shankar Chouhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, a policeman, and Ramesh Gupta. A probe into the matter is currently underway. 

Remo and Lizelle have since issued a clarification statement, expressing disappointment over the spread of "unverified information" and assuring cooperation with the authorities. They also thanked their family, friends, and fans for their support.

The case was registered at Mira Road police station on October 16, and an investigation is ongoing. This development has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with many eagerly awaiting the outcome of the probe. 

Remo D'Souza is a renowned choreographer and director, known for his work on various Bollywood films and dance reality shows.
