A recent chargesheet filed by the Navi Mumbai Police has revealed shocking details about the Salman Khan house firing case. It appears that Lawrence Bishnoi's gang had offered a whopping Rs 25 lakh to assassinate the actor near his farmhouse in Panvel, Maharashtra. The accused had planned to acquire advanced weapons, including AK-47s, AK-92s, M-16s from Pakistan, and the Turkish-made Zigana pistol, similar to the one used in the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
The chargesheet also exposed that around 60 to 70 individuals were constantly monitoring Salman's movements, particularly at his Bandra residence, Panvel farmhouse, and Goregaon Film City. This sinister plot was planned between August 2023 and April 2024. In a related development, Sukkha, an alleged shooter for the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was arrested from Panipat Sector 9, Haryana, by the Mumbai Police and local authorities. Sukkha is accused of being involved in the firing incident that took place outside Salman Khan's Mumbai residence on April 14, 2024.
Following the arrest, the police confirmed that Sukkha will be taken to court for further investigation. It's worth noting that Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, had taken responsibility for the attack in a social media post, warning Salman Khan of further consequences. Meanwhile, security has been increased outside Khan's apartment following the killing of former minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique.
On the professional front, Salman Khan is busy shooting for Sikandar and Bigg Boss Season 18, with Sikandar slated for release in Eid 2025. The investigation into the Salman Khan house firing case is ongoing, and more updates are expected in the coming days.
