Rajinikanth's latest investigative drama, Vettaiyan, has witnessed a respectable opening weekend at the box office, amassing Rs 127 crore in India within four days of its release. The film's worldwide gross has surpassed Rs 190 crore, reaffirming Rajinikanth's enduring appeal.

Vettaiyan's daily collections in India include Rs 40 crore on day one, Rs 30 crore on day two, Rs 32 crore on day three, and Rs 25 crore on day four. Internationally, the film collected approximately $7.5 million over the weekend, although its overseas performance was underwhelming.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan tackles extrajudicial killings and educational scams, boasting an ensemble cast featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
