Divya Khosla Kumar - Karan Johar Engage In Public Feud Over Jigra

War Of Words B/W Divya,Karan Johar

The ongoing dispute between actress-director Divya Khosla Kumar and Bollywood producer Karan Johar has intensified, with both parties exchanging barbs on social media. The controversy began when Divya accused Alia Bhatt, a Karan Johar protégée, of buying tickets to her own film "Jigra," produced by Dharma Productions.

Divya and Karan Johar took to their Instagram stories, engaging in a war of words without directly naming each other. Karan posted, "Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools," while Divya responded with, "Truth will always offend Fools opposed to it." She added another story, stating, "When you are shamelessly accustomed to stealing what rightfully belongs to others, you will always seek shelter in silence."

At the center of the controversy is the box office performance of "Jigra," which reportedly earned Rs. 4.5 crore on its opening day. Divya has questioned the authenticity of these figures, suggesting they were inflated by the production house. Interestingly, Divya's film "Savi" shares a similar premise with "Jigra," but underperformed at the box office, earning only Rs. 7.83 crore in two weeks.

The feud may also be linked to the box office clash between "Jigra" and "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video," produced by Divya's husband Bhushan Kumar. This public dispute could potentially impact future collaborations, including the highly anticipated film "Animal Park," starring Ranbir Kapoor.
