Prasanth Varma Unveils India First Female Superhero Film Mahakali

Mahakali From PVCU Announced

Acclaimed filmmaker Prasanth Varma, following the Pan-India success of HanuMan, has announced his third project from Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). Titled Mahakali, the film marks India's first female superhero movie, directed by Puja Aparnaa and produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under RKD Studios.

Mahakali promises to be an epic journey of empowerment, faith, and resilience, inspired by Goddess Kali's fierce and compassionate nature. Set in Bengal, the film explores themes of discrimination, inner strength, and reclaiming one's identity. The movie features a bold portrayal of Goddess Kali by a dark-skinned actress, breaking stereotypes and redefining beauty standards in Indian cinema.

With stunning visuals and an emotionally gripping narrative, Mahakali aims to celebrate the diversity of Indian women and their indomitable spirit. The film challenges societal norms, serving as a beacon of inspiration for the marginalized and underrepresented. The talented technical crew includes Smaran Sai for music, Sri Nagendra Tangala as production designer, and Sneha Sameera as creative director.
