Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, along with his daughter Adhya, visited the revered Goddess Kanaka Durga temple atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada on Wednesday, marking the seventh day of the grand Dussehra Sharana Navratri celebrations.

Pawan Kalyan was warmly welcomed by temple officials who accorded him traditional honors. The visit coincided with the day Goddess Saraswati Devi's appearance in her 'Saraswati Alankaram' adornment, attracting thousands of devotees to the temple.

The temple authorities, anticipating a huge influx of devotees due to the auspicious Mula Nakshatra, cancelled all tickets and offered free darshan to all devotees. The heavy crowds began gathering from midnight, highlighting the fervor surrounding the festival.

Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha also paid her respects to Goddess Kanaka Durga on the same day. Upon spotting the Deputy Chief Minister, the devotees erupted in chants of "Jai Jana Sena Jai Pawan Kalyan," expressing their enthusiasm.

To manage the massive crowds, the police implemented stringent security measures, including rope barriers to control the flow of devotees and a heavy police presence to prevent any incidents of stampedes. Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu, recognizing the potential surge, had implemented these preventive measures well in advance. Vehicle access to the hill was restricted to ensure smooth movement of devotees.

This visit by Pawan Kalyan marks a significant moment during the ongoing Dussehra festivities, adding to the already celebratory atmosphere at the temple. The presence of high-profile figures, such as Pawan Kalyan and the Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, who is expected to present silk clothes to the goddess on behalf of the state government on Wednesday afternoon, underscores the cultural and religious significance of the festival.
