PM Modi talks to Rajinikanth wife Latha about his health.Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his concern for Superstar Rajinikanth's well-being, speaking to the actor's wife, Latha, over the phone on October 1st. The call came after Rajinikanth underwent a successful elective procedure to place a stent in his aorta to treat a swelling in a blood vessel near his heart.
Tamil Nadu BJP State President K Annamalai shared the news on his official X page, accompanied by a photo of Rajinikanth and PM Modi. "Our Hon. PM Thiru @narendramodi avl spoke telephonically to Smt. Latha Rajinikanth avl today to inquire about the health of our Super Star Thiru @rajinikanth avl. Hon PM was informed about the well-being of Thiru Rajinikanth avl post-surgery & Hon PM wished him a speedy recovery (sic)," he wrote.
Rajinikanth is reportedly in stable condition and is expected to be discharged from the hospital within a day or two.
Earlier, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and actor Kamal Haasan also expressed their well wishes for Rajinikanth's speedy recovery on their respective X pages. Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief Vijay also shared his prayers for the actor's recovery.
The medical bulletin from Apollo Hospitals, released on October 1st, confirmed the success of the procedure. "He should be home in two days (sic)," the statement read.
On the work front, Rajinikanth is set to return to the screen in director TJ Gnanavel's "Vettaiyan," slated for release on October 10th. He is currently shooting for his upcoming film, "Coolie," directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
