He credits these Malayalam actors with changing the acting discourse in Telugu cinema, showcasing performances free from over-the-top theatrics and exaggerated mannerisms that sometimes characterize acting in Tamil and Telugu films.

"Dulquer Salmaan, Pritvhiraj Sukumaran, Joju George, Faahad Faasil and Shine Tom Chacko have changed the acting discourse and introduced Telugu audience to new kind of performances which are shorn of over-acting and whacky mannerisms which few Tamil and Telugu actors tend to do to trigger more impact and going overboard at times, but Mollywood actors rely on measured and refined acting," he explains.

Examples like Dulquer Salmaan's performance in "Mahanati" and "King of Kotha," Prithviraj Sukumaran's portrayal in "Salaar", Faahad Faasil's intense cop character in "Pushpa The Rise," Shine Tom Chacko's chilling performance in "Dasara," and Joju George's menacing presence in "Adhikeshava" demonstrate the versatility and depth of these actors.

Hemanth, a film enthusiast, attributes the actors' success to their refined and settled performances that resonate with young Telugu audiences, many of whom are already familiar with their work through OTT platforms.

"These Malayalam actors are very talented and come up with refined and settled performances so they could connect with young Telugu audiences. A few of them would have already seen them on OTT and liked their performances. Actually, Faasil, Tom Chacko, and Joju George are known for doing challenging roles to showcase varied shades with ease," he explains.

He emphasizes the benefit these actors bring to young Telugu directors, providing fresh faces capable of portraying complex characters with nuanced depth. Furthermore, their professionalism and experience in exploring unique themes within budget constraints make them valuable assets to the industry.

Producer Ravi Shankar Yellamanchilli, who brought Faahad Faasil on board for "Pushpa The Rule," recognizes the actor's immense talent and popularity, highlighting his ability to match the stature of Allu Arjun. He points out that Faasil's portrayal of the tough cop in "Pushpa" was a highlight of the film, and his role in "Pushpa The Rule" promises to be even more impactful.

The influx of Malayalam actors into Telugu cinema signals a positive change, bringing a new wave of realism, talent, and depth to the industry. As these actors continue to collaborate with Telugu filmmakers, they are contributing to a more diverse and captivating cinematic landscape, creating a blend of cultural influences that promises a more nuanced and engaging cinematic experience for audiences.
