Acclaimed filmmaker Shankar is gearing up for a comeback with several promising projects, including the movie adaptation of Su Venkatesan's Tamil novel, Veera Yuga Nayagan Velpari. Although the star cast is yet to be finalized, rumors suggest that Tamil actors Suriya and Chiyaan Vikram may collaborate for the film.

Shankar envisions the project as a three-part franchise, with a major announcement anticipated after the release of his upcoming film, Game Changer, starring Ram Charan, slated for December 2024.
