NTR Devara Rakes In 172 Crores On Day One

Devara Part 1 Off to a Flying Start

NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan's action thriller Devara Part 1 has taken the box office by storm, grossing ₹172 crore worldwide on its opening day. Directed by Koratala Siva, the pan-India film was released in five languages - Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada - and is expected to cross the ₹200 crore mark on its second day.

According to reports, Devara Part 1 earned ₹77 crore in India, with Telugu contributing ₹68.6 crore, Hindi ₹7 crore, Kannada ₹30 lakh, Tamil ₹80 lakh, and Malayalam ₹30 lakh. The film's occupancy in Telugu stood at 79.56% on Friday, making it the second-biggest opening of the year for an Indian movie after Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD.

Devara Part 1 now ranks fourth among the highest-grossing Indian films, following SS Rajamouli's RRR (₹223 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (₹214.5 crore), and Kalki 2898 AD (₹191 crore). Now, Devara stands at fourth highest with ₹172 crores. The film stars Jr NTR in a dual role, alongside Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, and Srikanth Meka.

With its impressive opening, Devara Part 1 is poised for a successful run. The story revolves around a dramatic clash of wills in a coastal setting, with Jr NTR's character challenging Saif Ali Khan's seemingly invincible world.
