NTR turns villain for Janhvi Kapoor

NTR cut short Janhvi

NTR and Janhvi Kapoor's highly anticipated collaboration, Devara, has finally hit theatres, marking Janhvi Kapoor's Telugu debut. While the film opened to packed houses and early positive reviews, NTR's decision to trim Janhvi Kapoor's role has sparked discussion.

Initially, Janhvi Kapoor was featured in the second half of the film, with a prominent song, "Daavudi", showcasing their on-screen chemistry. However, NTR reportedly felt the episodes featuring Janhvi Kapoor created a pacing issue, leading him to cut close to 7 minutes, including the "Daavudi" song.

While director Koratala Siva proposed incorporating the song during the rolling credits, NTR ultimately rejected the idea.

Despite the reduced screen time, Janhvi Kapoor's presence in Devara brought a touch of glamour to the film.

Initial reactions to the film praise NTR's performance, Saif Ali Khan's villainous portrayal, and Anirudh's impactful background score. However, some critiques have been directed towards the second half of the film, raising questions about Koratala Siva's handling of the narrative.

Overall, Devara has ignited the box office with its grand release and is expected to set new records in its opening weekend. While the trimmed role has raised some eyebrows, it's clear that NTR's dedication to delivering a powerful cinematic experience has taken precedence.
