Man Of Masses NTR, Koratala Siva's upcoming sea-adventure film, Devara: Part 1, also starring Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, has commenced advance bookings in India on a high note. As of September 24, the film secured ₹8.12cr in pre-bookings for its first day in India, according to Sacnilk.
Industry experts predict Devara: Part 1 will be Jr NTR's biggest solo opener, with global advanced bookings currently at ₹40cr for the opening day. If the film resonates with audiences, it may earn over ₹100cr worldwide on its opening day, surpassing Jr NTR's previous records.
Regional advance bookings are surging, particularly in southern states. In Andhra Pradesh, tickets worth ₹5.1cr were sold for 1,187 shows, while Telangana saw ₹11.58L in sales across 25 shows. Neighboring Karnataka and Tamil Nadu reported ₹2.36cr and ₹28.12L in advance bookings, respectively.
Devara: Part 1's success is anticipated to be fueled by the Andhra Pradesh government's decision to permit multiplexes to increase ticket prices. With a strong opening predicted, all eyes are on the film's performance in South India and its potential to make a significant impact in North India.
