Garikapati criticizes Prabhas Kalki 2898 AD

Garikapati blasts Prabhas Kalki

Spiritual Leader Criticizes "Kalki 2898 AD" for Historical Inaccuracies

Popular spiritual preacher Garikapati Narasimha Rao has expressed strong disapproval of the recently released blockbuster film "Kalki 2898 AD," citing historical inaccuracies and a perceived distortion of the Mahabharata narrative.

Rao specifically criticized the film's focus on elevating the characters of Karna and Aswathama, played by Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan respectively. He argued that the film misrepresents the relationship between the two characters, suggesting that Aswathama received help from Karna when, in reality, it was Aswathama who aided Karna on multiple occasions.

Rao also took issue with the film's portrayal of Aswathama and Karna as more significant figures than Lord Krishna and Arjuna, the central figures in the epic. He stated that filmmakers often prioritize storytelling convenience over historical accuracy, a practice he finds concerning.

Despite the controversy, "Kalki 2898 AD" has achieved immense success, becoming the highest-grossing film of the year with over 1000 crores in worldwide earnings. A sequel is already in production, slated for release in 2028.

The film's creators have yet to respond to Rao's criticism. It remains to be seen how the controversy will impact the film's legacy and the reception of its upcoming sequel.
