Darshan To Be Moved Out Of Parappana Agrahara Jail

Darshan Royal Life In Jail Uncovered

Kannada Superstar Darshan, currently an undertrial in the Renukaswamy murder case, has been at the center of controversy since his arrest in June. Despite repeated requests for home-cooked food being quashed, a viral photo has emerged showing Darshan enjoying a cigarette and beverage with a known rowdy-sheeter, sparking questions about his treatment within the Parappana Agrahara jail premises.

The photo has led to the suspension of 9 jail authorities, with investigations underway to determine how Darshan accessed barred items like liquor and cigarettes. A screen recording of the actor on a video call with an aide has also raised questions about his access to a phone with network, despite prison jammers. The Karnataka government is considering shifting Darshan to prevent further lapses, with Belagavi or Ballari being potential destinations.

Home Minister G Parameshwara has acknowledged a lapse on the part of prison officials, drawing parallels with the alleged VIP treatment of Sasikala during her stint in Bengaluru. Darshan is accused number 2 in the Renukaswamy murder case, with Pavitra Gowda being accused number 1. The case involves the brutal torture and subsequent death of Renukaswamy, who allegedly sent obscene messages to Pavitra Gowda.

The case has sparked widespread attention, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the alleged special treatment and lapses in prison security.
