Nagarjuna Pained At N Convention Demolition

King On N Convention Demolition

Nagarjuna pained at N Convention demolotion. Nagarjuna Akkineni Addresses Demolishment of N Convention: "Unlawful and Based on Misinformation".

On Saturday morning, the demolition of N Convention, owned by actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, in Madhapur sent shockwaves through the city, sparking widespread discussion on social media and news channels.

The Telangana government's new department, HYDRAA, tasked with demolishing illegal constructions encroaching on lakes and ponds, carried out the action. Speculation surrounding the incident centered around claims that the building was constructed within a lake's buffer zone.

In a statement released on X (formerly Twitter), Nagarjuna addressed the situation, refuting these allegations and asserting the demolition was carried out "unlawfully" and "based on misinformation." He clarified that the land is "Patta land," meaning it's legally registered, and denies any encroachment on tank boundaries.

He further stated that an existing court order had been granted against previous demolition notices concerning the building constructed on the private land. "No notice was issued prior to carrying out the demolition this morning," he emphasized.

Nagarjuna asserted his commitment to following the law, stating he would have carried out the demolition himself if the court had ruled against him. He concluded by announcing his intention to seek legal recourse against the "wrong actions" of the authorities.

The incident highlights the ongoing tension between development and environmental protection in the city. It raises questions about the transparency and due process followed in enforcing demolition orders, particularly when existing court orders are in place.
