UAE shocks Khel Khel Mein

UAE censors a few scenes in Khel Khel Mein. Khel Khel Mein Director Mudassar Aziz Speaks Out on UAE Censorship.

Director Mudassar Aziz has expressed his disappointment over the censorship of key scenes from his film "Khel Khel Mein" in its UAE release. One particular scene featuring actor Fardeen Khan, addressing his character's sexuality, was reportedly cut due to local restrictions.

"As a filmmaker, it's my duty to create diverse characters and explore important topics that spark conversation," Aziz stated. "While it's disheartening to see a scene with such relevance and sensitivity removed from the UAE release, I'm incredibly grateful for the positive response the film has received worldwide, particularly for those very scenes."

He further explained, "Through Fardeen's role, I hoped to contribute to a necessary and important dialogue about acceptance. Although edits were made, the core message of acceptance remains unchanged, and I firmly stand by its significance."

Fardeen Khan's role in "Khel Khel Mein" marked his much-anticipated return to acting after a 14-year hiatus. The film also features an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, and Vaani Kapoor.

"Khel Khel Mein" was released in cinemas on August 15th, garnering attention for its bold exploration of sensitive topics. While the UAE release may have faced censorship, Aziz's commitment to raising important conversations remains unwavering.
