Two years after its successful theatrical release, Nikhil and Anupama Parameshwaran's socio-fantasy drama "Karthikeya 2" has achieved further recognition by winning the prestigious National Award for Best Telugu Film at the 70th National Film Awards.
The film's team celebrated the win with the media, where producer TG Vishwaprasad confirmed that plans are already underway for "Karthikeya 3." Director Chandoo Mondeti further solidified this news, revealing he is currently working on the script for the sequel.
Mondeti acknowledged the heightened expectations following the National Award and assured fans that "Karthikeya 3" will exceed them.
Given these confirmations, it seems almost certain that "Karthikeya 3" will begin production sometime in the next year. The original film, which featured Bollywood actor Anupam Kher in a pivotal role, was a commercial success, grossing nearly Rs 200 crore at the box office.
