Mr. Bachchan slashes after constructive criticism. Following mixed reviews and underwhelming opening numbers, director Harish Shankar has responded to audience feedback for his latest film, "Mr. Bachchan." The film, starring Ravi Teja, Bhagyashri Borse, and Jagapathi Babu, premiered on August 14th with special screenings, but faced criticism for its pacing and lackluster content.
The film's lackluster reception impacted its box office performance over the Independence Day weekend, despite the holiday season.
Acknowledging the feedback, Harish Shankar took to Twitter to announce a revised version of "Mr. Bachchan." He stated, "Considering the constructive criticism, we've reduced a few Hindi songs and trimmed the film to increase the pace of #Mr. Bachchan. Updated prints will start playing from tonight. I myself will be watching in Brand New Vimal theatre tonight… see you there."
The team, including Ravi Teja, will be watching the edited version tonight at the newly renovated Vimal theatre in Balanagar, Hyderabad.
This move reflects a willingness to address audience concerns and potentially salvage the film's performance. It remains to be seen whether the revised version will resonate with audiences and improve "Mr. Bachchan's" box office prospects.
