Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda announced on Friday that the fan murder case involving Kannada superstar Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and 15 others is nearing its final stage. The police have collected oral, circumstantial, and technical evidence related to the sensational murder and sent it to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Bengaluru, with 70% of the reports already received. Additional evidence related to gadgets and electronic devices has been sent to the Hyderabad Central Forensic Science Laboratory, with reports expected in the coming days.
Once all reports are received, the police will seek further clarifications from witnesses and submit the final report or charge sheet to the court. The police have collected a significant amount of evidence, with some reports already received and others still pending. The gruesome murder of Renukaswamy occurred on June 8 in Bengaluru, involving kidnapping, torture, and eventual death.
The incident came to light after security personnel discovered the body being dragged by dogs. Renukaswamy is survived by his aged parents, pregnant wife, and sister. The police investigation led to the arrest of actor Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and others, who are currently in judicial custody until August 28. The accused allegedly brutally hacked Renukaswamy to death for sending obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda.
The police are working diligently to ensure a thorough investigation and justice for Renukaswamy's family. With the majority of evidence collected and reports received, the case is nearing its final stage. The police will continue to seek clarifications and submit the final report to the court, bringing closure to this sensational murder case.
