In his speech, SRK acknowledged the warm welcome he received, quipping, "Thank you all for welcoming me with such wide arms - wider than the ones I do on screen," referencing his signature open-armed pose. He then praised the festival's location, calling Locarno a "beautiful, very cultural, very artistic, and extremely hot city."

SRK went on to express his profound belief in the power of cinema, stating, "Cinema has been the most profound and influential artistic medium of our age. This journey has taught me a few lessons." He emphasized the universal nature of art, saying, "Art affirms life above all. It goes beyond boundaries, into a space of liberation. It need not be political, polemical, sermonizing, intellectualizing, or moralizing. It only needs to say what it feels from the heart, to express its own truth."

Reflecting on his 35-year journey in the film industry, SRK humorously recounted the diverse roles he has played: "I've been a villain, a champ, a superhero, a zero, a rejected fan, and a very resilient lover."

In closing, SRK expressed his commitment to pushing his boundaries, saying, "Awards like this encourage me to keep on trying to embody all the facets of life, to embody all the emotions, to give that one more take, one more shot, one more emotion, and hopefully a little bit of love, so that all of you feel a little joyful."
