The vibrant spirit of Friendship Day came alive at Malla Reddy Women's College on Wednesday as the contestants of aha Telugu Indian Idol 3 graced the campus with a high-energy celebration.
The event, titled Dhaam Dhosthaan with Your Idols, kicked off with a delightful surprise from contestant Anirudh Suswaram, who took on the role of host for the evening. Anirudh not only introduced the Telugu Indian Idol 3 show but also spotlighted his fellow contestants, setting the stage for an evening of entertainment and camaraderie.
In a playful exchange, Anirudh discussed the nuances of male friendships, only to be humorously interrupted by Keshav, who championed female friendships and proclaimed himself the town’s new heartthrob. Their spirited banter, filled with amusing pick-up lines, encouraged students to engage and support their favorite contestants.
Adding to the fun, Vallabha stepped onto the stage to mediate the friendly feud between Anirudh and Keshav. Vallabha’s intervention was met with laughter as he reminded the audience that the evening was about entertainment, not conflict.
The interactive session continued with Anirudh offering goodies to students who could identify characters from his descriptions. The competition heated up during a spirited Antakshari between Keerthana and Keerthi, where both contestants delivered stellar performances, making it a challenge for Anirudh to choose a winner. Ultimately, Keerthi emerged as the lead performer, while Nazeer captivated the audience with a PSPK song.
Throughout the event, the contestants performed a medley of Friendship Day-themed songs, including Botani Paata Undi, Rooba Rooba OR Nak Oka Girlfriend Kavali Ra, Mukkala, and Pilla Nuvu Leno Jeevitam. Group performances featured popular tracks like College Papa (MAD), Mustafa Mustafa, DJ Tillu 1 X 2, and Dosti (RRR). The enthusiastic participation of students, faculty, and staff expressed their admiration for the show and its contestants.
The evening concluded with a heartwarming exchange of friendship bands, photo booth snapshots, and a Vote of Thanks.
