Bharat Bhushan elected as New President of the Telugu Film Chamber

TFC Gets New President

The Telugu Film Chamber has a new leader: Bharat Bhushan, a prominent figure in the distributor sector, was unanimously elected as the President. His victory marks a significant shift in the Chamber's leadership, as the President's role has traditionally been held by producers.

The elections, held after Dil Raju's two-year tenure concluded, saw a strong showing from the distributor sector. Bharat Bhushan received 29 votes, securing a decisive victory over Tagore Madhu, who garnered 15 votes.

This change in leadership reflects a growing influence of distributors within the Telugu film industry. Last year, the Film Chamber saw Dil Raju, a renowned producer, serve as President.

The Vice President's position, traditionally held by producers, was contested by Ashok Kumar and YVS Chaudhary. Ashok Kumar emerged victorious, underscoring the continued representation of producers in the Chamber's leadership.

The elections saw a total of 48 members from various segments of the industry participate, including producers, exhibitors, distributors, and members from the studio sector.

This shift in leadership signals a potential change in the dynamics of the Telugu film industry. The industry is eagerly watching to see how Bharat Bhushan's leadership will shape the future of the Telugu Film Chamber and the film industry as a whole.
